Description

The Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ is an authentic recreation of a legendary amplifier known for its distinct tone and classic design. This amplifier model is based on the original Mark II design, recognised as the world's first "Dual Mode" amplifier with dedicated modes for both clean and overdrive sounds. As the final model in its family before the Mark III, the IIC+ benefits from years of refinement and innovation, delivering a single-channel dual-mode layout that set the standard for versatile tone shaping.

The Mark IIC+ features a streamlined control interface with a single row of controls for its Rhythm (clean) and Lead (overdrive) modes. The interactive gain and volume controls allow players to customise each mode's gain structure, while the shared tone controls adjust overall voicing. The amp is equipped with "PULL SHIFT" features for further tonal control and a 5-Band Graphic EQ that enables precise sound sculpting. This EQ's wide-range sliders can shape frequencies with surprising precision, adding adaptability to any performance setting.

On the rear panel, the IIC+ offers a range of practical features that make it a powerful tool on stage or in the studio. The global PRESENCE and REVERB controls are centrally positioned for easy access. The amp's series, buffered Effects Loop provides seamless integration for time-based effects, while a Power Select switch lets players choose between full 75-watt "SIMUL-CLASS" power for maximum headroom or 25-watt "CLASS A" power for smoother clipping and reduced volume. Multiple speaker outputs allow flexible cabinet connections, and a SLAVE output captures the amp's full tone for use with IR readers or external processing.

This reissue honours the legacy of the original Mark IIC+, which helped shape the sound of rock guitar throughout the 1980s. Bringing this model back with today's components and standards has ensured that it maintains the tone and reliability that made it an icon. Players now have access to the Mark IIC+'s powerful, articulate sound without the risks of buying vintage equipment, thanks to Mesa Boogie's commitment to quality and precision.

The combo housing features an open back for a sweeter, vintage sound paired with a front-mounted 12" 90 watt Celestion Custom 90 (aka Black Shadow) that cuts through the mix like butter and a voice and dynamic response that lead guitarists will love.

For those who seek an iconic sound without the need for an overly complex interface, the Mark IIC+ is an ideal choice. With footswitchable dual-mode preamps, selectable power modes, a built-in spring reverb, a 5-Band Graphic EQ, and a Slave Output, this amp offers everything needed for classic tones and professional performance setups. The Mark IIC+ is a rare opportunity to own a legendary sound crafted with modern reliability.
