To honour his artistry, Suhr has introduced the Mateus Asato Classic S Signature guitar, a testament to their collaborative vision and commitment to excellence.
Exquisite Craftsmanship
The body, carved from Alder, boasts a sleek and glossy finish, exuding a sense of elegance. The body shape, reminiscent of the Classic S model, ensures a familiar yet sophisticated aesthetic. Adorning the body is a glossy Bakelite pickguard, adding to the guitar's vintage appeal while offering durability and style.
A Neck for the Ages
One of the standout features of this guitar is its neck, which has been meticulously designed to provide unparalleled comfort and playability. The Even C Medium neck profile, carved from 3A Roasted Birdseye Maple, offers a silky-smooth satin finish that feels incredible in the hands. Measuring .840" to .920" with a 1.650" nut width, the neck provides a perfect balance of thickness and comfort, suitable for various playing styles. The fingerboard, also made from 3A Roasted Birdseye Maple, features a 9"-12" compound radius and is equipped with 22 stainless steel heavy frets, measuring .051"x.108". This combination allows for effortless playability and precise intonation across the entire fretboard.
