Extended Range & Fanned-Fret
As genuine guitar lovers and players, here at Peach we are always excited to see the latest guitar developments. New players keep pushing the boundaries of the instrument and often they do so with extended range guitars. Here you will find our 7-stirng, 8-string, 12-string and baritone electrics as well as multi-scale (fanned fret) guitars.
A benefit of the 7 and 8-string guitars is that you have access to the low notes necessary for down-tuned styles of music whilst still having the high strings for lead playing. For those who are uncomfortable with the thought of extra strings and who don't really play lead, a baritone may be the way to go.
The multi-scale instruments have increased length to the low strings, so that they remain a good tension at low pitches whilst the high strings are a normal shorter scale length so that they still feel easy for bending and vibrato techniques. It also keeps the sound, intonation and consistency of the strings extremely well balanced and offers an exciting new feel to the fingerboard that is instantly playable.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any help choosing the right extended-range guitar for you.
