A traditional Alder body is finished in the classic Olympic White nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1956 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and is lightly tinted fingerboard. With a 9.5" radius and 21 medium jumbo frets, the '56 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 10/56 V profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.
With a trio of Fender Custom Shop '50s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. This combination is super versatile and offers the complete Stratocaster experience.
Supplied with a Fender Custom Shop hard case, this is a real sweet example of Custom Shop quality.
This guitar has a lacquer crack around the neck pocket and one stemming from the neck plate. Nothing structural.
