Our Good friends at King Tone are industry leaders, delivering stage conquering tone to a wide audience. Established in '99 by esteemed guitarist Jesse Davey, King Tone set out on a mission to deliver a playing experience unlike no other. One of the most popular models in the King Tone catalogue, The Duellist features two distinct overdrive voicings, the "String Singer" and the "Heavy Hand" allowing for ultimate tone! This latest iteration of The Duellist is loaded with a host of exciting new features which include, a custom CNC machined enclosure and easy access side switches for new tonal options alongside a channel order selector switch.
The String Singer side is built with the classic Tube Screamer DNA in mind, offering up an incredible variety of tones from the cleanest of cleans right through to a crunched up lead tone.
The Heavy Hand side takes inspiration on the classic Marshall Bluesbraker. It is incredibly sensitive to your every touch which really allows you to play with dynamics in a super fun way. Whether you want a blues tone or a Marshall break up this side will deliver.
With super simple controls like Drive, Volume and Tone you can really dial in and nail that tone you've always dreamed of. If you're after a little bit extra room to tweak make sure to take advantage of the Pre Clipping EQ controls of "Fat, Stock and Glass" options.
You can also change the channel order from A into B or B into A with a simple flick of a switch. The new side mounted dip switch system allows for tone shaping like never before. The new options include an amp-like setting which helps to provide an open tube-amp sound which makes a real difference to your tone. The SRV Mod adds a powerful attack and dynamics to the classic TS tones. The Duellist also allows you to split channel A and B so you can use it with a pedalboard switcher, also the super helpful Split mode allows you to place the two sides of the Duellist in different Place on your pedal board.
