Slim Harpo was one of the most iconic Blues Player to come out of America in the '60s. Remembered for his hit songs like "I'm A King Bee" "baby Scratch My Back" and "Shake You Hips", it's safe to say the world of blue and music as a whole would not be same without his legendary playing. As a long time Gibson user his guitar of choice was none other than then infamous ES-330, now in 2021 Gibson are paying homage to one of the all time greats with the Slim Harpo "Lovell" ES-330
The classic ES-330 body shape is built with the time tested combination of a 3-Ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, providing an awesome bite with a strong and rigid feel thanks to the Spruce bracing. Beautifully finished in a Vintage Sunset Burst Nitrocellulose Lacquer,this guitar really captures the vintage aesthetics of the iconic originals and will be able to breathe and resonant better when compared to other finish types.
A Mahogany neck features a Rounded C profile making playing an absolute dream, perfect for quick lead licks or chords. The dark Rosewood board is adorned with Small Block inlays, a 12" Radius, 22 Medium Jumbo Frets and a 1.695" Nut Width. Classic ES-330 tone comes courtesy of a pair of Dogear P-90 pickups, sitting beautifully between single coils and humbuckers, these P90s offer a sweet snap and great response. Thanks to the hand-wired controls and Orange drop capacitors you can really nail that vintage Gibson tone. An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge along side a Vintage Trapeze tailpiece offer a safe and secure playing platform and with Vintage Deluxe tuners you can forget any tuning issues.
