Description

The Gibson Custom Shop do some pretty special stuff, whether it be re-issues of our favourite vintage guitars, or turning your craziest of dreams into reality. The Gibson Custom Shop really can do it all. To celebrate Gibson’s 130th anniversary our friends at the Custom Shop have crafted a super limited run of 1958 spec ES-335s! These re-issues pay tribute to one of the most versatile and prolific Gibson’s ever produced.

Featuring a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, it's finished in a slick, Heavy Aged Dirty Blonde Nitro Lacquer, the attention to detail and craftsmanship shown on this guitar is astonishing. The Murphy Lab team really have nailed that vintage vibe! This ES-335 is super resonant and beautifully balanced; it just oozes that classic Gibson appeal.

The neck is something special, crafted from Mahogany; it features a gorgeous unbound Indian Rosewood fingerboard, embellished with nitrocellulose inlays. With 22 historic narrow/tall frets, 12" radius, 1.687" nut width and a 24.75" scale length it feels smooth and comfortable! This ES-335 is equally at home playing slick lead work or heavy chord strumming thanks to the authentic ’58 spec Fat “C” neck profile. With hide glue construction, this 335 offers true vintage tonality.

A pair of Gibson unpotted Custombucker humbuckers deliver those classic PAF tones, deep, rich and resonant they offer great clarity. According to Gibson these are some of the most historically accurate PAF clones on the market, with an ultra-rich harmonic quality; it's as close as you can get to the classic 335 tone. With aged nickel hardware across the board and a ABR-1 bridge/Stop Bar with Kluson tuners you can expect great stability.

These guitars are limited to just 130 units worldwide. Each instrument ships with a brown Lifton hardshell case and a custom certificate of authenticity.
