There are certain guitars that stand the test of time and with its timeless design, effortless playability and rich history, it's easy to see why the Gibson ES-335 remains such an iconic guitar.
Featuring a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, it's finished in a slick, old school 70s Walnut. Delivering a rich and authentic tone, this ES-335 is super resonant and beautifully balanced; it just oozes that vintage Gibson appeal. The gloss nitro finish is incredible and gives a vintage feel without any real wear.
The neck is something special, the SlimTaper profile Mahogany neck is supremely comfortable; it features a gorgeous Indian Rosewood fingerboard, embellished with acrylic dot inlays. With 22 frets and a 24.75" scale length it feels smooth and comfortable, equally at home playing slick lead work or heavy chord strumming.
A pair of Gibson calibrated T-Type humbuckers delivers those classic PAF tones, deep, rich and resonant they offer great clarity. They are paired with dual volume and tone controls that are hand-wired with CTS® potentiometers,
It features Kluson Waffleback tuners paired with a lightweight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, anchored by steel thumb-wheels and tailpiece studs to keep everything solidly in tune.
The Jim James ES-335 also has a Jim James logo on the truss rod cover, an owl emblem on the back of the headstock, and comes with a custom Jim James owl emblem hardshell case. it's a great take on a classic design.
