There are certain guitars that stand the test of time and with its timeless design, effortless playability and rich history, it's easy to see why the Gibson ES-335 remains such an iconic guitar. The Gibson Dot ES-335 is a really great addition to this illustrious line. This particular guitar was one of the very last to have been crafted at the legendary Memphis factory, it's been with Gibson for a little while so we've listed it as New Old Stock.
Featuring a 3-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, it's finished in a classic Faded Cherry. Delivering a rich and authentic tone, the ES-335 Dot is super resonant and beautifully balanced; it just oozes that real Gibson mojo.
The neck is something special, crafted from Quartersawn Mahogany; it features a gorgeous bound Rosewood fingerboard, embellished with pearloid dot inlays. With 22 frets and a 24.75" scale length it feels smooth and comfortable, equally at home playing slick lead work or heavy chord strumming.
A pair of Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers delivers those classic '60s tones, deep, rich and resonant they offer great clarity. These PAF style pickups are slightly underwound and feature unbalanced coils for a truly historic sound.
With a Gibson hardcase, this guitar is vintage in every aspect but age!
