With dual discrete channels, valve-driven spring reverb, and a half-power switch, the FTR 37 offers exceptional tonal variety, allowing players to excel in any musical setting.
At the heart of the FTR 37 is its dual-channel design. Channel 1 delivers the harmonically rich overdrive, compression, and sustain typically associated with iconic British amplifiers. This channel excels in capturing the gritty, textured tones sought after by rock and blues players. In contrast, Channel 2 offers pristine American-style cleans, with a dynamic response and a bounce that transitions seamlessly into edge-of-breakup tones. These channels can be used independently or blended using an external ABY switch, such as a Switchazel, to create custom tonal combinations tailored to your style.
A key feature of the FTR 37 is its all-valve spring reverb, which offers unmatched depth and control. Unlike traditional amp-based reverb designs, the FTR 37 provides adjustable send and return levels, allowing for precise shaping of the reverb character. Whether you're after subtle ambience or a dramatic surf-inspired drip, this feature ensures the reverb integrates perfectly with your playing.
Powering the FTR 37 are four 6V6 valves, delivering 37 watts of robust Class AB output. For smaller venues or recording environments, the half-power switch reduces the output to 18 watts, allowing players to push the power valves into saturation at lower volumes. This flexibility ensures that the amp retains its dynamic responsiveness and tonal integrity, regardless of the playing situation.
Additional modern touches include push/pull mid/gain boosts, high and low sensitivity inputs for each channel, and a carefully tuned EQ section.
