At the user's disposal is two footswitchable channels for different active settings of Volume, Presence, and Depth. Also included are 2 master switches - a high frequency response switch of Edge/Brite/Flat, and a low frequency response switch of Deep/Warm/Flat - which allow immense control over the PS-100's reactive load.
Amongst the PS-100's many uses is as a tube-driven power amp for boosting low wattage amps, such as the Orange Tiny Terror or Vox AC15, by up to 100 Watts thanks to a pair of matched 6550 Power Amp Tubes. Thanks to the Line In jack, this unit isn't limited to just amps, it can also accept any preamp unit - adding rich and responsive tube power to your pedalboard rigs.
On the flip side, the PS-100 can accept any amp's speaker output of 2, 4, 8, or 16 Ohms and up to 200 Watts and attenuate it down to even silent levels so that you can push your amp to the max without getting noise complaints from the neighbours! What's more, when in Silent Mode, the PS-100 does not even need to be connected to any power and yet it still retains the functionality of the Voicing switches, Low Pass Filter switch, FX Loop (with FX Level switch), and both Balanced and Unbalanced Line Outputs.
Additionally, the PS-100 features a footswitchable FX Loop to add post-gain effects to any amp, whether it has an effects loop or not! This unit truly does open up a world of options for any player or situation.
