The Martin D-18 Authentic 1939 Aged offers authentic vintage styling, every element of this guitar has been designed to offer a true vintage experience. With an Adirondack Spruce top and genuine Mahogany back and sides, the Martin D-18 is equally at home fingerpicking or strumming big, brash chords. The top also has the amazing VTS treatment, which allows Martin to make a brand new guitar sound like an 80 year old vintage instrument. The top is heat treated to remove the moisture, which allows it to have the quickest response and the most detailed tone.
With its rich tonal variation and lovely organic feel, it's the perfect partner for players who need a guitar that can compete right across the board.
The neck is an absolute dream to play. With an Authentic 1939 neck shape, 16" radius, 25.4" scale length and a 1 11/16" nut width, this Martin is supremely comfortable and smooth underhand. The Ebony fingerboard is the perfect partner for this neck; beautifully crafted its a real treat to play.
Complete with hide glue construction and hand scalloped bracing, this incredible guitar also benefits from some very meticulously applied ageing, its as good as it gets! A real vintage inspired masterpiece.
