Two-Rock Joey Landreth 100 Watt Signature Amplifier Head - Used
Single Channel All-Tube Head w/Dual Tremolos, Analogue Reverb & Power Scaling | Truly A Plug-And-Play Amp
"It is literally the most beautiful sounding amp I have ever played, and I would think that whether my name was on it or not. The preamp delivers the perfect edge of break up sound, kind of like something lower wattage, while the power amp delivers all the punch and thump you get from a big amp. It's never too much even at 100 watts. The dual tremolos are icing on the cake. It would be a killer without them, but with them it makes it the perfect 'guitar straight into an amp' rig. Not that it can't handle pedals. The front end has this beautiful squish to it which makes it a perfect partner for the fuzz lovers. It'll soak up all the harsh transients and leave you with just the good stuff." - Joey Landreth
Please Note: This amp is Pre-Owned but is in Mint condition. Having only been played in home environments and being less than a year since it was made, this all-original unit could be mistaken for brand new! Two-Rock Amplifiers were founded back in '99 and rapidly climbed their way to the top of the boutique amp food chain. Finding favour with players such as John Mayer, Matt Schofield and Oz Noy, they deliver ultra-high end valve tones perfect for the working player. In 2016 the company was purchased by long-time Two-Rock artist Eli Lester and Operations Exec Mac Skinner who reinstated Two-Rock legend and co-founder Bill Krinard as designer/engineer, completing the Two-Rock dream team! When the chance to stock these incredible amps presented itself, we just couldn't say no.
For 2023, we're incredibly excited to announce the Two Rock Joey Landreth signature amp! There's no denying that Joey's one of the most impressive players of our time, his virtuoso playing really is a cut above the rest!
This 100 watt single channel amplifier is truly bursting with tonal possibilities, the head itself is the same size as the 150 watt Silver Sterling head and features a familiar and intuitive control layout, if you're used to Two Rock amps then you'll certainly feel right at home! With 4x 6L6 tubes this amp certainly packs a punch, rest assured its certainly ready for life on the road.
One of the crowning jewels of this incredible amp is the inclusion of a harmonic tremolo circuit. One of the main attractive features about harmonic tremolo is that it modulates the output volume separately to the higher and lower frequencies which creates a brilliant phasing effect. There is no actual change in overall volume or pitch, but the faux doppler-effect created by the phase-shifting between high and low frequencies makes it sound like a mixture of both. It is a very cool sound and takes three-and-a-half preamp tubes to accomplish.
With a half power scaling switch, tube-driven analogue spring reverb with send and return controls, a passive effects loop, and an additional bias tremolo that specifically modulates the volume, this amp is packed with features that will make it an ultimate plug-and-play, straight-to-amp experience.
