If you are looking for that vintage vibe and feel without compromising on playability and tone, look no further than the Suhr Classic Antique.
With an Alder body and roasted maple neck, it uses the tried and true formula for an iconic strat. The neck has a lightly aged finish for a smooth, slick feel. With an Even C medium profile, a 9"-12" radius, and 22 frets on an Indian Rosewood fingerboard this a substantial but real comfortable guitar.
The ML pickups, stemming from John Suhr's original V63 design, underwent an overwind process, resulting in a hotter pickup with enhanced output and a rich, resonant tone. These pickups deliver a well-balanced mix of tight lows, focused midrange, and a smooth top-end sparkle. Featuring a modified staggered pole piece design, the ML accommodates instruments with flatter neck radiuses and modern string gauges by providing an even magnetic field. On the other hand, the SSV humbucker boasts a wide sonic aperture with minimal compression, offering a vintage output. It combines vintage warmth with increased clarity and is wound hot for more output, extended sustain, and a delightful midrange response.
The hardware is backed up by a Gotoh 510 vintage tremolo with Steel block along with Hipshot Locking tuners and a Tusq nut to keep your tuning, intonation, and tone in top condition.
