Reverend Guitars began life in an East Detroit garage back in '97 and they haven't looked back! Delivering unique designs with a real retro flavour, Reverend have an artist roster to rival any. Counting Billy Corgan, Reeves Gabrels, Dan Auerbach, Mark Knopfler and our good friend Greg Koch among their artists, Reverend Guitars are Korean manufactured and meticulously set up in house at Reverend HQ, Toledo, Ohio.
Meet the Contender: Reverend Guitars’ all-new flat-top, single-cut set neck guitar series. This guitar has a classic retro look with a modern edge due to the offset body and six-inline headstock. This elusive, yet harmonious combination of vintage and new is the hallmark of Reverend’s original designs. The Reverend Contenders are available loaded with humbuckers, P90s, or Reverend’s all-new Retroblast pickups: mini-humbuckers with percussive, yet smooth tone backed with plenty of power for classic power chord crunch or Rockabilly blues rhythms.
This model is part of the Reverend Guitars 2020 lineup, a model year of guitars designed for guitarists of this Millennium. Modern colours, innovative upgrades, and fresh ideas all designed for today’s players.
Like all Reverend Guitars, this guitar has a Korina body. A Boneite nut and locking tuners, Reverend’s Bass Contour Control, and a dual-action truss rod are all for maximum performance.
