Design and Inspiration
The Powers Electric A-Type draws heavily on the cultural tapestry of San Diego's North County, where Powers grew up surrounded by surfing, skateboarding, auto craft, music, art, and architecture. These influences are evident in the guitar's sleek, asymmetrical body design, reminiscent of classic cars and surfboards. The guitar's fully enclosed, slim hollowbody ensures it looks stunning from every angle while providing exceptional playability and balance.
Exceptional Playability
The A-Type is designed to feel amazing in the hands of players, whether they are sitting or standing. Its lightweight, hollow body allows for easy handling, while the contoured armrest and radiused body edges enhance playing comfort. The neck is crafted to be the perfect blend of not too big and not too slim, seamlessly flowing into the unique split radius fretboard. This asymmetrical fretboard is slightly flatter on the treble side, facilitating easier and more expressive string bending, making the guitar a joy to play.

At the heart of the A-Type's sound are the PF42 (partial Faraday) pickups.
