The Novo Solus F2 boasts a body crafted from tempered pine, offering a unique tonal character that sets it apart from the crowd. This lightweight and resonant wood contribute to the guitar's overall tonal excellence. The neck, made from tempered maple, complements the body, providing stability and a smooth playing experience.
The neck carve of the Solus F2 features a Medium 'C' profile, offering players a comfortable grip. With a scale length of 25.5" and an Ebony fingerboard with a compound radius of 9.5" to 14", the Solus F2 strikes a balance between classic playability and contemporary performance.
At the heart of the Novo Solus F2 lie the carefully selected pickups that define its sonic character. The bridge pickup, a Fralin High Output Tele, injects a dose of aggressiveness and power into the guitar's voice. Known for its mean and bold sound, the Fralin High Output Tele is wound with additional wire, delivering a darker tone that seamlessly blends with P-90s.
The neck pickup, a Fralin P-90 with a custom 15% underwind, brings vintage P-90 tones to life. Renowned for its versatility, clarity, and snarly midrange, the Fralin P-90 offers a sonic palette that suits various music styles. With clear lows, thick mids, and percussive highs, this pickup makes the Novo Solus F2 a versatile instrument capable of handling a wide range of genres.
The controls are rear-mounted, contributing to a clean and uncluttered front, while the pickguard adopts a new chopped design, providing a modern twist to the classic look.
The bridge of the Solus F2 is equipped with compensated brass saddles, ensuring precise intonation and optimal sustain. The use of Stringjoy 10-48 strings and a 1.65" nut width further enhances playability, catering to a variety of playing styles.
