One of their standout creations is the Estralita Deluxe, a resonator guitar that marries the best of both wood and metal. By combining a wooden guitar body with an aluminium resonator cone, National Guitars achieves a tone that is both warm and beautiful. The result is a rich, distinct sound that sets this instrument apart.
Introduced in 2001, the Estralita Deluxe has a stunning design. Its body is made of walnut for the back and sides, with a maple laminate top that showcases a glorious figured pattern. This top is triple-bound with ivoroid/black/ivoroid binding, perfectly highlighting its sunburst finish. The walnut neck is complemented by an ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard, with mother-of-pearl diamond inlays that add an elegant touch. The slotted headstock, overlaid with white pearloid and engraved with the National logo, adds to the guitar's sophisticated appearance.
This model features a deeper body than traditional guitars, with a thickness of about 3.65 inches, compared to the standard 3.125 inches. The vintage-style, open-gear engraved tuners add to its classic aesthetic.
