The Music Man JP20 is the latest in a succession of incredible JP signature models., celebrating the incredible relationship shared between Petrucci and Music Man over the last 20 years. The JP20 benefits from a strong and punchy Honduran Mahogany body with a beautiful Flame Maple top finished in the stunning Honey Butter Burst. It is beautifully weighted and super well balanced. The ergonomic design is a real treat to play.
The Honduran Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard are adorned with the awesome Gold JP and Shield inlays. Thanks to the 24 High profile, wide Stainless Steel Frets, a 43mm Nut Width, 15" Radius and of course a 25.5" Scale Length you will have a premium playing experience, this setup is super comfortable, allowing for quick and easy movements all across the Fingerboard.
A band like Dream Theater is full of complex, intricate and varied guitar styles,because of this, John requires a pickup load out that is up to the challenge. A DiMarzio Liquifire in the neck and Crunch Lab in the bridge provide all the crushing tones you can possibly imagine, and thanks to the inclusion of the Piezo pickup you have that classic Pull Me Under tone right at your fingertips.
The custom John Petrucci Music Man floating bridge provides a stable and comfortable playing platform,and in conjunction with Schaller M6-IND Tuners you can play all night long without tuning issues.
