Lowden Guitars marks its 50th anniversary with a celebration of craftsmanship and legacy through its limited edition collection. Among these, the F-25 model stands out, embodying the essence of Lowden's original series, first introduced in 1976.

The F-25: A Quintessential Lowden

The F-25, part of Lowden's Original Series, is a model that has long been revered as a defining Lowden guitar. Known for its rich, full-bodied, warm, and powerful tone, the F-25 is a versatile instrument suitable for percussive strumming, flatpicking, and fingerpicking. The F model, initially designed in 1982 and redesigned in 2003, features a smaller soundbox shape that produces more projection and midrange response than the O model, making it perfect for flatpickers while also appealing to fingerstyle players and blues guitarists.

Tone Woods:

• Back and Sides: The F-25 is crafted from East Indian Rosewood, chosen for its robust tonal characteristics and beautiful grain.
• Soundboard: The top is made of Red Cedar, providing a warm, responsive sound that complements the rosewood back and sides.

Neck and Fingerboard:The neck is a 5-piece construction of mahogany and rosewood, offering excellent stability and sustain. The fingerboard is made of ebony, providing a smooth and comfortable playing experience. The GL standard neck profile, measuring 45mm at the nut and extending to 57mm at the 14th fret, ensures optimal playability.

Design and Aesthetics:The F-25's understated elegance is highlighted by a seven-piece wood rosette, single-piece binding, and three-piece purfling on the top. The binding is made of mahogany, and the purflings are crafted from maple, rocklite, and mahogany. The front headstock facing is rosewood, adding to the guitar's classic look.

• Tuners: The guitar is equipped with Gotoh 381 Gold tuners with ebony buttons, ensuring precise tuning and a touch of luxury.
