A co-founder of New York "Big Four" thrash metal institution Anthrax, guitarist Scott Ian has pummelled audiences with his huge sound and formidable chops for close to four decades. When Jackson approached with the idea of working together on a signature we just knew it would be a high spec thrash machine!
Constructed with a resonant Mahogany body and finished in the classic and iconic ivory finish. Paired up with a Graphite reinforced through body maple neck which boasts a lush Laurel fingerboard. A 24.75" scale length offers less string tension allowing for a looser feel and more fluid bending. With a 12"-16" compound radius and 22 jumbo frets this guitar is super easy playing.
Scott's high gain high power tone is so recognisable, and that all starts from the pickups. Loaded with a Duncan Designed HB-103B in the bridge and a Duncan Designed HB-103N in the neck. These pickups are so articulate and respond beautifully to your every touch. With a 3 way touch switch and master volume and tone you can really craft your own tone.
