The AZ427P1PB features a poplar burl top on an American basswood body bolted to an S-Tech roasted maple Oval C shaped neck with a rosewood fingerboard with 24 stainless steel frets, mother of pearl dot position markers and luminescent side dots. Components include a pair of Seymour Duncan Hyperion 7 humbucker pickups, a T1572S tremolo bridge made by Gotoh, a Graph Tech nut, an angled output jack and Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machines.

Seymour Duncan Hyperion Pickups feature a moderate output through Alnico-5 magnets to keep the clarity of the fundamental tone when using high-gain and to deliver clear pick attack. From treble to bass, the overall tonal balance is evenly adjusted and works well with various effects pedals.
