Paul Gilbert is one of the most prominent technical guitarists around, his speed, precision and flamboyant playing style making him a huge influence for players all around the world. A long time Ibanez artist, 2019 sees the release of the PGMM21, the Paul Gilbert MiKro.
Taking all the revered features of the classic PGM model (reversed headstock, iconic f-holes, one volume control), the MiKro shrinks it down into a super portable and comfortable short scale version. Featuring a new Metallic Light Green finish on the Poplar body, it has a slightly different flavour to the traditional Gilberts.
Despite its tiny body and short scale, miKroseries guitars do not sacrifice playability. The 0.10-0.46 string gauge ensures enough tension for normal playing comfort. The Treated New Zealand Pine fretboard has gone through an advanced seasoning process which yields a harder, more durable piece of wood. As a result, the fretboard offers enhanced stability while producing a rich, warm tone.
The open pole piece Infinity R pickups deliver well-balanced tones with dense, rich mids. The two Infinity R humbuckers are wired with a lever switch that gives five different tonal options. If you are a Paul Gilbert fan, this guitar is a must!
