The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '61 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a Vibrant Aged Surf Green nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The plain grain Maple neck features a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The modern C shape and 21 narrow tall offers a really comfortable playing experience, while the medium tint finish feels great underhand.
With a handwound Fender 60s single coil pickup in the middle flanked by a HW Texas Special at the neck and a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker at the bridge it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat, and then some! Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone. This one is a real powerhouse though; you get unfiltered power and even greater tonal possibilities!
