The Schecter USA Custom Shop craft some of the sweetest guitars we've ever seen, this Traditional Wembley II is a real winner and a million miles from the insane metal machines Schecter are better known for.
It's pretty clear where the inspiration for this guitar came from, and they have done a really great job of delivering vintage spec with flawless modern construction. The Alder body is finished in the classic Vintage White (they have called it Vintage White but its very much more of an Olympic White!) nitro cellulose lacquer, this finish allows the wood to breathe and resonate really freely for crystal clean tones. The lacquer has some beautiful crazing and up close looks every bit the vintage guitar.
The Roasted Maple neck features a stunning Macassar Ebony fingerboard, this classic combination offers a familiar and super smooth platform for both lead and rhythm work.
Loaded with a trio of Schecter Custom Shop pickups, it delivers those classic vintage Strat tones we all love with a little extra bite. The Pasadena Classic was the first Sun Valley designed pickup designed to produce that vintage PAF tone and it sits perfectly at the bridge here. The VS-1 sits at the neck and middle positions and features a precise blend of the proper gauge magnet wire and hand bevelled alnico magnets, this brings out lush clean Strat tones while really singing when played through an overdriven valve amp.
These Schecter USA Custom Shop models are the real deal, we love them and we're pretty certain you will too!
