The JP100D-MKOA is a monster collaboration between Dream Theater main man John Petrucci and the guys at Sterling. This Petrucci signature is an upgraded version of the standard JP and is based more specifically on the Ball Family Reserve JP6.
The Mahogany body is capped with a beautiful Hawaiian Koa top for a tone wood match made in heaven. The JP100D-MKOA features a slightly bigger body than the BFR JP6 and also benefits from a scooped forearm contour for a more comfortable fit. A Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard rocks 24 jumbo frets, perfect for ripping through those delicious Dream Theater licks!
For crushing tones the JP100D is loaded with DiMarzio LiquiFire and Crunch Lab pickups, the same spec as on the much more expensive BFRJP6. A Sterling Modern Trem bridge and locking tuners mean you can embrace those deft trem sweeps without fear of going hideously out of tune!
This is one of the highest spec guitars ever to come out of the Sterling factory and with a player like John Petrucci's name attached to it, you know it's going to be great!
