The 2018 Gretsch G5420TG Ltd Ed Electromatic is a fitting tribute to 135 years of the Gretsch Sound! It’s one of those incredible guitars that seamlessly manages to honour its rich heritage whilst pushing forward with modern tech and functionality.
Designed to offer traditional Gretsch style and playability, it's bold, dynamic and super responsive. The 5-ply Maple body is finished in the lush Dark Cherry Metallic over Casino Gold, and with crisp Gold hardware, it looks every bit the classic Gretsch. The Maple neck has a rich Ebony fingerboard and sports the Pearloid Thumbnail inlays. With the standard U shape profile and a 12" radius, it's comfortable and really well balanced.
The Blacktop Filter'Tron humbuckers have incredible response and definition. They have a great dynamic range and really respond to the way you play, slick and subtle one second and roaring the next. A Bigsby B60 vibrato unit offers great stability and is perfect for all those country, jazz and blues licks. Offering great sustain and incredible tuning stability, the G5420TG is a really impressive, player’s guitar.
