The Gibson Flying V has always been one pretty radical guitar, initially launched back in '58 as part of Gibson's attempt to embrace futuristic design, it's been a players favourite ever since. Played by the likes of Lonnie Mack, Albert King and on occasion Hendrix, it's one cool cat.
The 2018 Gibson Flying V honours the rich history of this iconic guitar with some incredible features! The body is crafted from solid Mahogany for a deep, resonant tone, perfect for embracing the heavier side of life, the body is really nicely weighted and balanced. Finished in Aged Cherry, it looks as cool today as it did 60 years ago.
The Mahogany neck rocks a Slim Taper neck profile, 22 frets, a 24.75" scale length and a killer torrefied Granadillo fingerboard. Super stable and supremely comfortable, the 2018 Gibson Flying V is a real powerhouse.
Loaded with BurstBucker 2 and 3 humbuckers, this guitar really rocks. Certainly not confined to just rock, this guitar can handle blues, jazz or country licks with no problems!
Housed in a Gibson hardshell case, this Flying V is definitely a highlight of the 2018 range.
