Favoured by some of the world's greatest players, including most famously Johnny Winter, Warren Haynes and Lynyrd Skynyrd's Allen Collins, the 2018 Firebird Studio model pays tribute to the rich history of this iconic guitar.
The Mahogany body is finished in a lush Vintage Sunburst with Black pickguard for that timeless old school appeal. It's resonant and nicely balanced too, despite its larger size. The Mahogany neck benefits from 22 medium frets, a 24.75" scale length, Slim Taper neck profile and a killer torrefied Granadillo fingerboard. Super stable and supremely comfortable this is a real player's guitar. Also boasting a standard non-reverse six-in-a-line headstock, it feels both authentically vintage and modern.
Loaded with a pair of P-90 pickups, the 2018 Gibson Firebird Studio delivers tone by the bucket load. With a really unique sonic character it is versatile, dynamic and offers crystal clear note definition, sitting nicely between singlecoils and humbuckers, these P-90s are a great addition.
Housed in a Gibson hardshell case, it's certainly a worthy addition to the long line of iconic Firebirds!
