The 2018 Gibson Memphis ES-335 Big Block Retro is a visually and tonally stunning guitar. Inspired by American car culture this limited edition stunner is a hot rod of cool.
Featuring a 3-ply Figured Maple/Poplar/Maple body, it's finished in a slick, old school vibe Classic White; it's a classic era colour that perfectly complements this stunning guitar. Delivering a rich and authentic tone, the 2018 ES-335 is super resonant and beautifully balanced; it just oozes that vintage Gibson appeal.
The neck is something special, crafted from Quartersawn Mahogany; it features a gorgeous bound Rosewood fingerboard, embellished with pearloid block inlays. With 22 frets and a 24.75" scale length it feels smooth and comfortable, equally at home playing slick lead work or heavy chord strumming.
A pair of Memphis Historic Spec humbuckers delivers those classic '60s tones, deep, rich and resonant they offer great clarity. These PAF style pickups are slightly underwound and feature unbalanced coils for a truly historic sound, this is as good as it gets!
Complete with Gibson hardcase, it's a great take on a classic design.
