The Gibson Flying V has always been one pretty radical guitar, initially launched back in '58 as part of Gibson's attempt to embrace futuristic design, it's been a players favourite ever since. Played by the likes of Lonnie Mack, Albert King and on occasion Hendrix, it's one cool cat.
The 120th Anniversary Gibson Flying V honours the rich history of this iconic guitar with some incredible features! The body is crafted from solid Mahogany for a deep, resonant tone, perfect for embracing the heavier side of life, the body is really nicely weighted and balanced. Finished in Heritage Cherry, it looks as cool today as it did 60 years ago.
The Mahogany neck rocks a Slim neck profile, 22 frets, a 24.75" scale length and a killer Rosewood fingerboard. Super stable and supremely comfortable, the Gibson Flying V is a real powerhouse. The 120th Anniversary inlay at the 12th fret gives it a unique vibe.
Loaded with BurstBucker Pro humbuckers, this guitar really rocks. Certainly not confined to just rock, this guitar can handle blues, jazz or country licks with no problems!
Housed in a Gibson hardshell case, this Flying V is a great guitar. Used but in nice condition it does show several signs of use including some minor buckle rash to the rear and a few very minor surface marks across the top, nothing out of the ordinary for a used guitar.
