The Gibson ES-390 is the perfect hybrid of vintage style and modern playability. By fusing the compact body dimensions of the ES-339 with the fully hollow construction of the ES-330, Gibson have produced a super slick, no holds-barred tone machine!
With a hot-pressed arched top and back in laminate Maple, it is similar in construction to the legendary ES-335. Delivering a rich and organic natural tone, the body is finished in a Plain Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer. This high gloss finish allows the wood to breathe and resonant freely, offering classic Gibson hollowbody tones.
The solid Mahogany neck is topped with a bound fingerboard crafted from hand selected Rosewood, it feels familiar and supremely comfortable. With the traditional pearloid block inlays it looks every bit the vintage guitar.
A pair of Gibson's Mini Humbucker pickups delivers outstanding tonal options, crafted with Alnico II magnets and wound with 42 AWG wire, they are just like the original PAF humbuckers.
