When the SG debuted back in '61 it was considered pretty radical for the time, with its thin body and no nonsense styling, it clearly focussed on raw power and playability. With the classic Mahogany body, finished in a White Fox gloss nitro, this SG is the same mega tone machine we all know and love but with some super cool refinements!
The Mahogany neck is topped with a lush Indian Rosewood fingerboard, complete with Trapezoid inlays, with a crown at the 12th fret, this is a true vintage inspired masterpiece. Unlike normal Mahogany guitars, the SG is nice and light thanks to its thinline profile and simplistic design. With a 24.75" scale length, it's comfortable and super familiar. With Jumbo frets, Long Tenon, hide glue construction, it’s authentically old school.
