What have we here then?
This thing of quilted loveliness is a Masterbuilt Strat from the Fender Custom Shop, by none other than Yuriy Shishkov, and part of a matched pair with a Tele we also have in at the time of writing.
The body is Ash and is capped with a crazy nice 'AAA' quilt maple top, all this in a NOS nitro finish topped off with scraped natural binding too.
The 22 medium jumbo fret neck is made from 'AAA' grade Birdseye Maple in the mid 60's style oval 'C' shape, and sports a 9.50" radius too. It's not often a guitar has a neck worth drooling over so check out the close up pictures.
Hardware wise this is loaded with a set of hand wound Fat 50's pickups, controlled from a traditional 5 way switching setup.
This guitar is really quite something to behold, the quilt on it is almost 3 dimensional in the natural light, and tone wise you can tell this is a masterbuild with the build quality and carefully chosen pieces of wood resulting in a resonant and vibrant sound that equals the guitar in the looks department.
