Jimi Hendrix was the original guitar hero, he took electric guitar playing into a different stratosphere and remains to this day, one of the most important guitar players ever. It only seems fitting that Fender would honour him with the Jimi Hendrix Strat.
The traditional Alder Strat body features a rich 3-Tone Sunburst, it really captures the vibe of the late '60s. The C shape maple neck has a 9.5" radius, 25.5" scale length and a crisp Maple fingerboard. It's a great neck and perfect for tearing through Jimi's greatest tracks. With a custom Hendrix neckplate and Hendrix signature on the headstock, it's a real collector's piece. The classic reverse headstock mirrors Hendrix's preferred option of flipping a right handed guitar rather than playing a left handed model, this alters the relative length of the strings and adds a little more snap to the treble side.
Loaded with a trio of American Vintage style 65 Single Coil pickups, you get a great range of tonal variation, classic Strat spank and bite. They are reverse mounted for a real authentic Hendrix tone! Complete with a deluxe Fender gigbag, this is a great tribute to possibly the finest player to ever hit the stage.
