Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt John Cruz Blue Sparkle Burst Strat NOS

John Cruz is known across the globe as one of Fenders highly revered Masterbuilders, a select group of the worlds most esteemed luthiers. With this high status, any guitar with his name attached generates a huge amount of interest, and rightly so! This particular model was delivered by the man himself when he paid us a visit at the start of August.

The Fender Custom Shop John Cruz Masterbuilt Blue Sparkle Burst Stratocaster NOS is a great example of the legendary prowess of the Masterbuilders.

The Alder body is finished in the frankly ridiculous Blue Sparkle Burst, with so many different colours in the sparkle this guitar will look killer under the stage lights. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved and unusually for a John Cruz it doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work. A real feature piece of this guitar is the Custom Bluish Abalone pickguard, it's breathtakingly pretty and looks great with the deep sparkle.

The AAA-Grade Roasted Flame Maple neck is among the sweetest we've ever seen. With a large C profile, compound 9.50' - 12' radius and 22 medium jumbo frets it's super resonant and feels incredible underhand. Perfectly balanced and with flawless playability right up the neck, it's a real players piece.

A custom trio of Josefina handwound Fat 50s Strat pickups deliver all the classic Strat tones you need, with enhanced bass response and overwound to run a little hotter than normal, these pups are the real deal, this Strat is a monster tone machine!

Supreme quality from top to bottom and shipped in a Fender Custom Shop hardcase, it's easy to see why John Cruz is so highly regarded. Guitars of this calibre just don't come around every day.
