The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '63 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a stunning Melon Candy Closet Classic Relic. Authentically aged, this guitar was built as if it was bought new in its respective model year, played maybe a few times per year and then carefully put away; it features a few dings, a checked finish, lightly oxidised hardware and aged plastic parts. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other more modern finishes.
The neck is crafted from Quartersawn Maple and features a '65 C profile, it's real comfortable and with a 9.5" radius and 6105 frets it's smooth and at home playing slick runs and crisp chords right up the neck. The AAA Rosewood fingerboard offers a great platform for slick lead lines and bold chords right up the neck, it's a seriously nice feature.
With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop '60s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. With a crisp harmonic content and a really refined and precise tone, the '60s are some of the most versatile single coils around, a great choice for this guitar!
Yet another absolute stunner from the guys at the Fender Custom Shop!
