Fender Custom Shop 63 NOS Strat Daphne Blue Used
The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '63 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The traditional Alder body is finished in a classic Daphne Blue nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1963 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The quarter sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and an AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, the '63 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The 60 style oval C profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.
With a trio of handwound Fender Custom Shop '65 pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. These pickups were hand crafted by Fender pickup guru and legend Abigail Ybarra, the original pickup Queen, she knows all the secrets to unlock the tonal potential of any guitar.
This guitar is used but in really nice condition, there are some very minor surface marks upon close inspection but nothing out of the ordinary for a used guitar. It was a Coda Dealer Select model and comes complete with FCS Blonde case.
