The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster Journeyman is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
A traditional Alder body is finished in a majestic Vintage White Journeyman finish. The Journeyman is a very lightly aged nitro finish; this gives the look and feel of a vintage guitar that has been lovingly cared for over the years. This finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes.
The quarter sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish and a AAA-grade Rosewood fingerboard. With a 10" radius and 21 frets, the '59 Custom Shop Stratocaster also features a '51 U neck shape - it's HUGE with a tone like no other.
The defining feature is the signature handwound Ancho Poblano singlecoil pickups, getting progressively hotter from neck to bridge, they are uniquely calibrated and offer a distinct tonal flavour. Overwound by hand they are the holy grail of single coils.
