With the Journeyman finish, Fender aims to create the look of a guitar that has seen some action over the course of its 60 year life, but still much loved. So you get a couple of dings here and there, but overall the guitar has been well looked after with some beautiful natural lacquer checking.
This is a great finish for anyone that can't quite get on board with the ultra heavily aged stuff but loves the vibe of a vintage guitar.
An Ash body, Quartersawn Maple neck with a single ply scratchplate make for a sweet 50s looking Strat and this guitar plays superbly with a 10/56 V neck profile, 21 medium jumbo frets, 9.5" radius and satin nitro finish on the back of the neck.
With this '57 Strat, it is all about the tone! Loaded with a set of hand wound 50s Strat single coil pickups for some proper authentic vintage Fender sound!
