The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '56 Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.
The Alder body is finished in a classic 2-Tone Sunburst nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1956 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.
The rift sawn Maple neck has a smooth finish. With a 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, the '56 Custom Shop Stratocaster can handle anything you throw at it without even breaking a sweat; it's supremely comfortable and well balanced. The '57 soft V profile is a joy to play and offers a great platform for both rhythm and lead playing.
With a trio of hand wound Fender Custom Shop '50s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. This combination is super versatile and offers the complete Stratocaster experience.
