With the Custom Shop 2018 '51 Nocaster they hark right back to the early days of Leo Fenders vision.

A lightweight select Ash body is finished in a classic Faded Nocaster Blonde nitrocellulose lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1951 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.

The tinted Quartersawn AA Flame Maple neck has a smooth, vintage feel. With a 9.50" radius and 6105 frets, the '51 Nocaster features a 10/56 V profile; it feels comfortable and robust, just like a vintage Fender should.

With the Telecaster design considered by many to be the original workhorse guitar, the Custom Shop '51 Nocaster needs a pickup pairing that can deliver the classic Tele' twang. Loaded with a pair of hand wound Fender Nocaster pups, you certainly get that famous Tele' tone. Delivering great dynamic range and a warm, beautifully rounded tone, it's a versatile and well balanced selection.
