Since launching back in 1982, Mayones skilled team of world class luthiers deliver guitars of the highest quality. The Mayones Regius is a powerhouse rock machine, built for mega tone and slick playability, this guitar is an instrument built to perform at the highest level.
With a Tonally Enhanced American Ash body, the Regius benefits from a gorgeous Curly Redwood top with an Antique Black Matte finish which allows you to really appreciate the quality of the top. The TEW process adds incredible resonance and stability to this guitar, it's these little extra details that make Mayones guitars so desirable. It's beautifully poised, balanced and allows great access right up the neck.
The 11-ply Tonally Enhanced neck thru is constructed with Maple TEW/Maple/Wenge. It boasts an incredible 4A TEW Birdseye Maple fingerboard, with stainless steel frets and a 26.5" scale length, its comfortable and fast. The 16" radius feels great under hand and offers a platform perfect for both low end riffing and treble side lead work.
The pickup choice really brings this guitar to life, with a duo of Bare knuckle TKO Pickups, you get a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. Mayones and Bare knuckle have had an extremely strong relationship for years, so a collaboration between both teams was always inevitable. The TKO set is aggressive through gain but beautifully clean when required, such a versatile set.
With a Schaller Hannes bridge and Hipshot griplock tuners, this guitar offers flawless tuning stability and intonation. If you are looking for a powerhouse guitar with a real powerful response but still retaining a finesse and intricacy, the Mayones Regius Core is a worthy contender.
This guitar was built by the wonderful guys at Mayones for display at NAMM 2021. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the event sadly could not go ahead. It would have been a real shame for those guitars to go to waste, so we are proud to present this NAMM 2021 Mayones Regius Core 7 to the world for general sale.
