The Music Man Valentine premiered at NAMM 2016 and walked away with the 'Best in Show' award, and for good reason. It's incredible!
Very heavily inspired by the classic Telecaster design, the Music Man Valentine features a slab Ash body, finished in Trans Black. The simple design is perfectly balanced and brings a vintage vibe to this new guitar.
The select-roasted Maple neck and fretboard have a 10" radius and 25.5" scale length, finished in a blend of gun oil and hand-rubbed special wax it feels just sublime.
The Music Man Valentine is a truly versatile guitar, featuring a Music Man custom wound single coil at the bridge and a humbucker at the neck, you get a really nice of balance of tones, great for adding texture and flavour. With a gain boost on the volume pot you can bump up for solos and lead licks, it's a great feature that will massively benefit the gigging musician. The tone control doubles up as a coil-tap to split the humbucker and provide more glistening single coil tones.
The Valentine has the air of a guitar that has a rich history, it feels natural and perfectly thought out. It might be a new guitar but it will around for a long time!
