Matt Bellamy is best known as the enigmatic frontman of UK alt rock heroes Muse. His soaring vocals and flamboyant approach to guitar are the mainstay of their unique sound. Matt has worked with Hugh Manson for many years to craft some of the most distinctive guitars around, often loaded with synth modules and built in Zvex Fuzz pedals, Bellamy's guitars are always super eccentric but highly functional.
With a Manson setting you back a small fortune, the design for the Matt Bellamy Signature was licensed out to Cort to deliver an affordable version that retained the same awesome playability and gritty tone.
The Basswood body is finished in a really cool matte black, with an almost chalk board finish, its industrial in appearance. The Maple neck features a Rosewood board, soft V profile and compound radius for a super smooth playing experience.
The Manson designed pickups, a singlecoil at the neck and a humbucker at the bridge, combine to deliver that real Muse tone, gnarly when pushed but slick and responsive when clean. The killswitch is a great touch and a frequently used feature for Matt Bellamy.
