The Steinberger Spirit XT-2 bass is an all wood version of the super popular '80s composite headless wonders. With its instantly recognisable look and unique headless design, the XT-2 is a serious bass guitar.
The compact body is crafted from Basswood and it has a really focussed, precise and rich tone despite its small size. Featuring a flip down leg rest for ease of use when sitting down, the XT-2 is actually really well balanced and comfortable when standing too. The real magic happens at the neck, the 3 piece Maple construction has an adjustable truss rod and a rock solid, super responsive feel. The fingerboard is beautifully smooth and with 24 medium jumbo frets it is great for fast lead playing or low end thunderous bass lines.
An array of tonal possibilities are available via the H/H pickup configuration, with Steinberger designed pups you get the whole spectrum of tone, it's a great tool in the studio, on stage or even as a travel guitar.
At a great price, these little beauts are a fraction of the composite models but still deliver that classic headless vibe!
