The Mayones Jabba Mala 5 is the signature bass of Italian bass master Federico Malaman, a popular session player and classically trained double bass player, the Jabba Mala 5 is an instrument built to perform at the highest level.
With a profiled Swamp Ash body with a Wenge middle, this bass benefits from an Eye Poplar top that is finished in the incredible Crema which allows you to really absorb the quality of the top. It's beautifully poised, balanced and thanks to the special contoured neck heel you get great access right up the neck.
The 1-piece Hard Rock Maple neck boasts a slick Pau Ferro fingerboard, with 24 jumbo frets and a 34.25" scale length, its comfortable and fast. The 9.5" radius feels great under hand and offers a platform perfect for both low end riffing and treble side lead work.
The pickup choice really brings this bass to life, with Aguilar DCB in an HH configuration working through a Mayo M-BP3 bass preamp, this bass has a great full frequency range and a really dynamic response. With a push/pull volume control to switch between active and passive, the Jabba Mala 5 can do the business in just about musical situation.
With a Mayo Vintage bass bridge and Hipshot HB6C ultralite tuners, this powerhouse bass offers flawless tuning stability and intonation. Housed in a Mayones Hiscox hardcase, if you are looking for the complete bass, you might have found it!
