The Yamaha BB bass has been a really popular alternative to USA mainstream basses for over 40 years. Offering a superb build quality and monster tone, the Broad Bass design is perfectly balanced and poised.
With an Alder/Maple/Alder body, finished in a sweet Midnight Blue, this is a real organic feeling bass. Stylistically, this bass retains all the classic designs features that made it so popular 40 years ago, the simple and elegant layout looking as sharp as ever. The additional low B string opens up a whole new sonic dimension to this bass without making it too much to handle. Crafted in Japan, this is the pinnacle of Yamaha basses.
The 5-piece Mahogany/Maple neck features 21 medium frets, it is easy underhand and has a nice action and playing profile. The P and J bass inspired VSP7n and VSC7b pickups offer a vintage flavoured low end punch. These single coil Alnico V pickups are a great feature of this bass, delivering a tone that is both versatile and focussed.
