Martin OMC-16E
An Orchestra Model with a difference - The OMC-16E now at Peach Guitars.
This guitar was originally released at the 2017 NAMM show in California to critical aclaim amongst the guitar world. Martin have really acheived their goal of a vintage inspired tone but with modern construction and playability.
The OMC-16E has a modified low oval neck with a high performance taper, which means it's an absolute pinch to play.
Cosmetically, Martin have made a few changes from the previous 16 series range, one of which is super sharp lookin' silver binding. It kind of has that "flip-flop" hot-rod car paint vibe to it, as it looks like it changes between white and silver, depending where the light is shining on the binding.
Check out the satin/brushed pearl open geared tuners. They work great and they look cool!
Constructed with a Sitka spruce top and charry back and sides. The OMC-16E still has the classic Martin tone but will undoubtedly appeal to fans of other acoustic guitar brands. It has a little more of modern voice and the playability is as good as anything else out there.
As an added bonus, the guitar is equipped with Fishman® Matrix VT Enhance electronics, which is a great sounding 'plug and play" pickup but sounds as good as any other market-leading acoustic guitar pickups.
1 3/4" nut width and 25.4" scale, so traditional OM specs. Lovely for strummers, pickers and alternative tuners!
Comes with Martin hardshell case.
