The Gibson Explorer has always been one pretty radical guitar, initially launched back in '58 as part of Gibson's attempt to embrace futuristic design, it's been a players favourite since its subsequent relaunch back in '76.
The Gibson Explorer honours the rich history of this iconic guitar with some incredible features! The trail-blazing Explorer body is crafted from solid Mahogany for a deep, resonant tone, perfect for embracing the heavier side of life, the body is really nicely weighted and balanced.
The Mahogany set neck rocks a Slim Taper neck profile, 22 frets, a 24.75" scale length and a killer Rosewood fingerboard. Super stable and supremely comfortable, the Gibson Explorer is reminiscent of those original Korina Explorers thanks to the Antique Natural finish.
Loaded with BurstBucker 2 and 3 humbuckers, this guitar really rocks. Certainly not confined to just rock, this guitar can handle blues, jazz or country licks with no problems!
Housed in a Gibson hardshell case, this Explorer is definitely a highlight of the 2019 range.
